Will the new crowd emotion changes include things like booing for controversial referee decisions or fouls? What other aspects are there to this area apart from the chanting reflecting the state of play?

The home crowd will get frustrated if the opposition has too much possession and you get boos and whistles for bad foul but it depends on their mental state at the time. We have more layers, we’ve added subtle shouts, if you listen very carefully you will hear people shouting at the referee (in fact you will hear me as I?m in there).
We added regionalisation, so each crowd has a local flavour. France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Central America for example. A UK crowd will boo where a southern European crowd will whistle. If you’re three goals up at home and start passing the ball around the crowd will cheer in England or shout ‘olay’ in other locations

Does creating your own club include complete kit customization? If so how in depth is it?

It’s fairly deep. You have a set of templates to use and you mix them together and set the colour. Our main focus was to keep club creation as open as possible, to make sure it works in all the offline modes and gives you the flexibility to have that dream team or recreate your local pub team.

How has the passing system been improved this year?

It’s all about context and error. Any thing that a pro player finds easy, you should find easy, but if you try turning 180 and doing a long pass it will probably go wrong.

Is dynamic weather in this year? If so, how noticeable will the effect be on the game? For example will the ball bounce less and be harder to control when it’s pouring it down?

Yes, if you choose overcast day or night lighting conditions there is a chance of rain and it is dynamic in the game. It does effect ball physics but not so much that it makes play too difficult.

Are there more licensed boots and balls this year, and can you use all the included boots when creating a player this time?

Yes, there are a ton of new boots and balls, but you can’t assign them in create player - they are only assigned to their authentic players

What graphical improvements will we see this year on current gen?

A bunch of technical stuff, but the biggest thing we did is have a really strong art direction and my art director Jenny (West Ham, bless her) just did an amazing job - so much so that we keep getting mistaken for next gen.Details include pitch wear (for poor clubs) and litter, much improved pitch lighting, camera dynamic player lighting, dynamic pitch lighting for rain, improved irradiance lighting, improved player hair, improved skin and player models.

How many star players are there that have special moves and playing styles? Can you give us a couple of examples?

We have different types of star moves. Celebrations (80+), free kicks and penalties (8 or so), tricks (9 unique tricks that can be done by 20 top players) and in game kicks (2). Players to look out for include Ronaldinho (flip flops, run ups), Joe Cole (crosses), Beckham (crosses) and C. Ronald (Step over, back heel, fighting Rooney - ok that’s a joke). Look out for Rainbow flicks and the Blanco Bounce. Crouch’s robot also makes a return.
